CRZ Clearance is a statutory environmental approval required for any developmental activity or construction proposed within the 500 m of the High Tide Line (HTL) from coastal regulation zones along India’s coastline, rivers, and backwaters influenced by tidal action. This clearance is mandatory for projects falling within the CRZ-I, CRZ-II, CRZ-III, or CRZ-IV areas as defined by the CRZ Notification.
